ShipTested Privacy Notice

ShipTested respects your privacy. This notice explains what information we collect through https://shiptested.github.io and our email list, why we use it, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.

In this notice, “ShipTested,” “we,” and “us” refer to that operator.

2. What this notice covers

This notice covers:

• visits to https://shiptested.github.io;
• requests for the ShipTested Launch Readiness Checklist;
• the related four-email launch-readiness series and course updates;
• purchases of the ShipTested course, processed by our merchant of record;
• replies, questions, and feedback sent to ShipTested.

We do not create customer accounts or store payment-card details. Course payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record (see Section 6); we receive order information such as your email, name, and purchase, not your full card number.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you join the email list or contact us, we may receive:

• your email address;
• your name, if the form asks for it;
• your replies, questions, and feedback;
• the time, source form, confirmation status, and consent wording associated with your signup.

Do not send passwords, access tokens, payment-card data, customer records, or other sensitive information in an email reply.

Email delivery and interaction information

Our email provider may process delivery status, bounces, confirmations, unsubscribes, and—if enabled in the final Kit settings—email opens and link clicks. We use this information to deliver the requested material, protect deliverability, understand whether the sequence is useful, and improve it.

Website and security information

GitHub Pages, our current site host, logs and stores visitors' IP addresses for security purposes. GitHub may process other technical request information under its privacy statement to deliver and protect the site.

We do not run first-party analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site behavioral profiling on the Gate 0 site.

4. How and why we use information

We use personal information to:

• confirm that you requested the checklist;
• deliver the checklist, the four-email launch-readiness series, and course updates you agreed to receive;
• respond to questions and feedback;
• operate, secure, debug, and prevent abuse of the site and email list;
• measure aggregate performance and improve the checklist, examples, and course;
• maintain unsubscribe and consent records; and
• meet applicable legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for marketing email. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving ShipTested where those interests are not overridden by your rights. We may also process information to comply with law.

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.

5. Email choices

ShipTested uses double opt-in. Submitting the form sends a confirmation request; the marketing sequence starts only after you confirm.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe method. You may also request removal by emailing shiptested@gmail.com. After you unsubscribe, we may retain the minimum information needed to honor that choice and prevent accidental resubscription.

6. Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers to operate ShipTested:

• Kit provides signup forms, consent records, list management, automation, and email delivery. Kit privacy information
• Lemon Squeezy is our merchant of record for course purchases. It processes your payment, applicable taxes, and receipt, and shares order information (such as email, name, and purchase details) with us. These providers process information under their own terms and, where applicable, on our instructions.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information:

• to service providers that need it to perform work for ShipTested;
• when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable government requests;
• to protect the rights, safety, and security of ShipTested or others; or
• as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the business, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards.

7. International processing

ShipTested and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we and our providers use recognized contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice:

• subscriber information is retained while you remain subscribed;
• confirmation and consent records are retained while needed to demonstrate permission and manage the list;
• after an unsubscribe, a minimal suppression record may be retained to honor the request;
• correspondence is retained while a question is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support and recordkeeping;
• technical and security information is retained according to the active provider configuration and only as long as needed for operations, security, or legal obligations.

We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• ask whether we process your personal information and receive a copy;
• correct inaccurate information;
• request deletion;
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• receive information you provided in a portable format;
• withdraw consent; and
• complain to your local data-protection authority.

To make a request, email shiptested@gmail.com. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request concerns you. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

10. Children

ShipTested is intended for adults building and selling software products. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact shiptested@gmail.com so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
